DISNEYLAND

We surprised our kids last Wednesday and took them to Disneyland. They had no idea it was coming. We packed their bags and hid them in the car. We made up a story about having to go to an early morning breakfast(4 a.m.)to explain why we had to leave so early in the morning. They were totally stunned with excitement when we broke it to them a few minutes before we got to the airport. We had an amazing trip! We left Kai home and just took the older kids this time. We missed him, but it was nice to just run around and do everything without strollers, etc... Kai had fun at home with grandparents and his friend, Austin.

We checked into our hotel, freshened up a little, and headed straight to Disneyland!

Here we are at California Adventure!

This is the picture that was taken of us on a ride...See my goofy husband striking a pose???

Okay...so we were all a little camera friendly on this one...

Wendy and her kids joined us for the afternoon. It was so fun to spend some time with them!

All worn out after a long day of fun! Kortney was cherishing a little "cuddle time" from Kobe which is a very rare thing for this busy little boy!

We splurged our last night and ate dinner at this fancy little restaurant in Disneyland that overlooks the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It was very expensive, but very delicious and a really cool atmosphere.

This was Kobe in line for the Tower of Terror.

He wasn't too thrilled about the idea, but we talked him into going. He was pretty nervous, but once it was all over, he was proud of himself for being brave and now he tells us that was his favorite part of the trip.

Our last evening there....It was sad to see it end, but we had such a great experience and lucked out with beautiful weather and minimal crowds so we didn't have to wait in line much for rides.

We hit the beach with Wendy and Kenny before we headed home on Saturday. We had so much fun soaking up the sunshine before we came home to the cold in Idaho. What a great trip and fun memory for our family!

What fun! I saw your post on facebook the other day saying that you went to bed early so you could surprise your kids in the morning and wondered the next day how your surprise turned out. That is the ULTIMATE surprise. sounds like it was a lovely time. How fun that you got to spend time with Wendy's family.
